Specialty Chef – Hatam Restaurant, Mission Viejo, CA
Job Description: Restaurant seeks a chef to prepare and cook traditional Gilaki dishes from northern Iran, including Mirza Ghasemi, Baghala Ghatogh, Fesenjan with duck, Torshi Tareh, and smoked fish. Must be skilled in traditional cooking techniques, including clay pot cooking, steaming over rice, and wood fire grilling. Will train and supervise kitchen staff in specialized preparation methods and assist management in menu development and expanding regional Persian cuisine offerings.
Requirements:
- 3 years of professional cooking experience in Gilaki or Northern Iranian cuisine (verifiable)
- High school diploma required
- Farsi language proficiency required
Employment Type: Full-time
Wage: $82,264 to $88,000 a year.
